The homestay is located in the home premises of Shri Dharma Dutt Kuniyal , who is a retired Honorary Captain of Garhwal Rifel in Indian Army . He has lived and served in this place for more than 45 years thus possessing a deep knowledge of local culture, customs, cuisine and demography.

This venture is aimed to provide a base for the people who want to get familiar, study or experience the living in rural Himalayan region in its truest form.
