Trek Itinerary

Day 1 - Rishikesh to Karchi Village Joshimath

  • Altitude: 6724 ft
  • 256 kms drive, approx 10 hours
  • Trekkers will be picked from Rishikesh at 6:30am. Vehicle type depends on number of total persons travelling together. (cost is excluded)
  • Arrive at Karchi Joshimath by approx. 5 pm – (tea, briefing of the trek & dinner)
  • Breakfast and Lunch on the way (exclusive of charges)
  • Accommodation at the guest house

  • Rishikesh (best place for white water rafting, trekking gear available on rent and purchase)
  • Rishikesh to Devprayag (confluence of Bhagirathi river and Alaknanda river)
  • Devprayag to Srinagar
  • Srinagar to Rudrapryag (confluence of Mandakini river and Alaknanda river)
  • Rudrapryag to Karnprayag (confluence of Pindar river and Alaknanda river
  • Note: You can reach Rishikesh a day earlier for rafting. On the day of the trek, we can arrange your pickup from Rishikesh.

Day 2 - Karchi Village Joshimath to Akhroth getha campsite

  • Altitude: 9600 ft
  • 6 kms trek, approx 4 hrs
  • The trail is a mix of steep and gradual ascent, mostly through villages.
  • Hot lunch at camp site
  • Water Points- Available at villages in passing
  • Accommodation in tent
  • Peaks spotted: Dronagri, Hathi Parvat, Gori Parvat

Day 3 - Akhroth getha Campsite to lower khullara campsite

  • Altitude 11070 ft
  • 4 km trek, approx 5 hrs
  • Rhododendron (mostly pink and white), walnut forest
    Accommodation in tent
  • Peaks :- Nanda Devi, Kalanka, Chang bang, Dronagri, Hathi Parvat, Gori Parvat.

Day 4 - Khulara Campsite to Pangarchulla Base Camp

  • After breakfast, trek from Khulara Campsite to Pangarchulla Base Camp.
  • Trek through rocky terrain and snowfields.
  • Ascend gradually towards the base camp, enjoying the scenic beauty.
  • Reach the base camp and set up your tents.
  • Relax and acclimatize to the altitude.
  • Overnight stay in tents at the base camp

Day 5 - Pangarchulla Base Camp to Summit and back to Khulara Campsite

  • Wake up before dawn and start your trek to Pangarchulla Summit.
  • Trek through steep slopes and snowfields, using crampons and ice axes if necessary.
  • Reach the Pangarchulla Summit and witness the breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas.
  • Spend some time at the summit, taking photographs and enjoying the scenery.
  • Descend back to the base camp.
  • After a short rest, trek back to Khulara Campsite.
  • Overnight stay in tents at Khulara Campsite.

Day 6 - khullara camp to karchi village

  • Trek: 8 kms
  • After brekfast trek back to karchhi village.
    Overnight stay in karchi village.

Day 7 - karchi village to Rishikesh

  • Depart from karchi village Joshimath and embark on the scenic drive back to Rishikesh.
  • Arrive in Rishikesh by late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Valley of Flowers trekking experience.
  • Expected reaching to Rishikesh is arround 7 pm. Its suggested to book your further journey after 8 Pm.

Who can participate

  • Age; 7 years.
  • First timer can apply; previous trekking experience is more appreciated.
  • The trekker must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 4 km of distance in 35 minutes without a stress.
  • Maximum age depends on your fitness level
  • The climber should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack.

 Health Awareness

  • Pulse rate at rest must be in between (60 to 90 beats per minute)
  • Blood Pressure Reading must be in between (DIASTOLIC 75 – 85, SYSTOLIC 100 - 130 mm Hg)
  • Respiratory rate at rest must be in between (12 to 20 breaths per minute)
  • Should not have Liver and kidney issues
  • Should not have Diabetes Mellitus, Bronchial Asthma, Epilepsy, Heart problems, Hypertension etc
  • No pacemaker implant
