Website: Visit the official website: https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. Use a desktop browser for the best experience.
Mobile App: Download the Tourist Care Uttarakhand app, available on Android and iOS platforms.
2. WhatsApp Registration:
Send "Yatra" to +91-8394833833.
Follow the instructions to receive a confirmation message.
3. Offline Registration:
Visit designated Chardham Registration Centers located throughout Uttarakhand (list provided below).
For Indian Citizens:
A valid government-issued photo ID: Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport.
Permits for Kedarnath and Gangotri (available through the state government or authorized travel agencies).
For Foreign Nationals:
A valid permit from the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board or Ministry of Home Affairs.

2. Fill in the Registration Form:
Enter details like name, address, contact number, Aadhaar number, and other requested information.
Select your preferred Chardham dates and locations.
3. Upload Documents:
Submit scanned copies of valid photo ID and other required permits.
4. Receive Confirmation:
Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation slip or card. Keep it safe, as it is mandatory for entry at all Chardham locations.
Biometric registration is mandatory for all pilgrims. Here are the official offline biometric registration centers for 2025:

Kedarnath Route: Sonprayag, Guptkashi, Phatta

No registration fee is applicable for Chardham devotees.
2. Darshan Tokens:
Online registration is mandatory for special prayers like Rudra Abhishek.
General darshan may also require tokens, depending on the shrine's policies.

4. Self-Arranged Facilities:
Registration does not cover lodging, meals, or transportation. Make separate arrangements for these.

Travelers planning to Kedarnath Yatra we advised you to avoid the monsoon season, which typically lasts from mid-June to August, as the frequent landslides during this time make it challenging for pilgrims to travel safely. The months of July, August, and early September are particularly affected by monsoon rains, resulting in occasional showers and a significant drop in temperature, reaching as low as 12°C.
During the winter months, the Kedarnath temple is inaccessible due to the extreme cold and heavy snowfall, which blocks the roads. The deity of Lord Shiva is moved to the Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath from November to April. The Kedarnath temple reopens in May for devotees to embark on their pilgrimage.
Most tour packages include transportation by either private vehicle, shared vehicle, or helicopter, depending on the preferences and budget of the traveler. its package inclued shared vehicle.
The best time for the yatra is typically from May to October when the weather is favorable, and the temple is accessible. However, it's essential to avoid the monsoon season (July to September) due to the risk of landslides and heavy rainfall.
The temple can be reached by road up to a certain point, after which a trek of approximately 14 kilometers from Gaurikund is required to reach Kedarnath. Helicopter services are also available for those who prefer not to trek.
