Trek Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1: Arrival Day - Dehradun to Base Camp Sankri (210km drive)

  • It will be a long drive of almost 10 hours for 210kms.
  • Last ATM at Purola
  • You can find several small shops on the way for trekking gears and collections.
  • At night, you will be staying in a guest house.
  • We will arrange a taxi for our trekkers to reach Sankri from Dehradun.
  • By evening, you will reach Sankri.

Day 2 - Day 2: Sankri to Dharkot Village by 16 km drive & Trek From Dharkoat Village to Seema (4 km trek)

  • You will reach Dharkoat village from Sankri within one and half hour as it is a 16 km drive.
  • The altitude of Taluka is almost 7,000 ft/2,100m.
  • The trek distance is 4 kms that will take 4-hour time.
  • While trekking you will find several spring-water points.
  • Served with packed lunch.
  • The trek level is an easy level walk and then gradual ascent is a few parts.
  • Night stay in camp along with delicious dinner.

Day 3 - Day 3: Seema - Boslo via 10 km trek

  • A long day of trekking as you will trek for 10km.
  • Steeper ascent
  • Witness beautiful meadows, waterfall & a variety of flora and fauna.
  • You will be reaching Boslo by evening.
  • Packed lunch.
  • Several spring water points.
  • Camp stay with mesmerizing views of nature

Day 4 - Day 4: Boslo to Har Ki Dun to Maninda Lake and back to Boslo ( via 12 kms both side)

  • Altitude: Har Ki Dun – 12,000ft And Moninda Lake – 13,025 ft
  • Trekking: 12km, 5 – 6 Hours
  • Easy ascent till Har Ki Doon summit then little moderate ascent to maninda lake.
  • Ruinsara lake is surrounded with meadows, rhododendron bushes.
  • Mixed trail of boulders, meadows.
  • You can see the waterfall along the way.
  • Water source sufficient.
  • Lunch en route and light lunch on site

Day 5 - Boslo To Seema via 10 km trek

  • Trekking back to Seema early in the morning
  • Breathtaking views of the landscape
  • Packed lunch

Day 6 - Seema to Dharkoat Village via 4 kms trek & Dharkoat to Sankri base camp via 16 km drive

  • You will be trekking back to Dharkoat Village from Seema which is 4km
  • Served with hot delicious food
  • After reaching Dharkaot, we will drive to the Sankri base camp
  • Dharkoat to Sankri is a 16km drive.
  • Stay in guest house.

Day 7 - Departure from Sankri to Dehradun

  • Driving back to Dehradun from Sankri which is 210km.
  • Depart at 7 A.M after having tea,coffee and biscuit, It is going to be a log drive of almost 8-9 hours, be prepared.
  • You will be reaching Dehradun by 5 P.M.
  • Get your bookings done accordingly in trains, flight from Dehradun.

Who can participate

  • Age; 7 years.
  • First timer can apply; previous trekking experience is more appreciated.
  • The trekker must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 4 km of distance in 35 minutes without a stress.
  • Maximum age depends on your fitness level
  • The climber should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack.

 Health Awareness

  • Pulse rate at rest must be in between (60 to 90 beats per minute)
  • Blood Pressure Reading must be in between (DIASTOLIC 75 – 85, SYSTOLIC 100 - 130 mm Hg)
  • Respiratory rate at rest must be in between (12 to 20 breaths per minute)
  • Should not have Liver and kidney issues
  • Should not have Diabetes Mellitus, Bronchial Asthma, Epilepsy, Heart problems, Hypertension etc
  • No pacemaker implant

Cost Term

Normally Go Adven India expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Mule.

Charges of offloading backpack:-

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Har Ki Doon a difficult trek?

Har Ki Dun is an easy-moderate trek, you will need good lung capacity and leg strength to reach the summit safely and back. If you are struggling most of the time, you won't be able to enjoy the trek.

Which peaks are visible from Har Ki Dun?

he main snow clad peaks visible from here are Swarga-Rohini, Bandarpunch and Kala Nag. The trek route passes through Debsu Bughyal, and trail is dotted with terraced mountain fields, patches of verdant grassy lands and punctuated with coniferous forests.

Is there any mobile network in Har Ki Dun Trek?

Harki Dun & Ruinsara Tal are located in a remote high altitude valley that comes under Govind Ballabh Pant National Park, this region is vastly accessible only on foot hence no network coverage is in the region. We ourselves rely on walkie talkie at times.
